The long-haired Russkly Toy will grow a fringe of hair on their ears by the age of three that will completely cover the tips and outer edges. This breed is considered an average shedder.

The Russkly Toy coat colors are red (ranging from a light red to a dark red), black and tan, and sable. Less common coat colors are brown and tan, and a rare coat color is blue and tan. This breed may have white on their chests or toes.
