The muzzle is long. The chest is deep and broad. The eyelids and lips are black. The eyes are dark in color and almond-shaped. The nose is also black except during the colder months the nose turns brown in color. The ears are set high, medium in length, rounded at the lower edge, and hang against the head. The tail is long, carried down, and is very bushy. For their size, the movements of the Slovak Cuvac are surprisingly light and fast.
The Slovak Cuvac weighs between 66 and 99 pounds and averages between 22 and 27.5 inches in height. The life expectancy of this breed is 11 to 13 years.
The Slovak Cuvac has a double coat. The undercoat is very dense and wooly. The top coat is very thick, shaggy, and of medium length. Regular grooming is required to remove loose hair and keep the coat in good condition. The Slovak Cuvac is a heavy seasonal shedder. The coat color of the Slovak Cuvac is solid pure white though a little yellow is acceptable on the ears and neck.
