The Taigan coat is medium-length, with a thick and soft texture, and slightly curly. Their coat feathers on the ears, shoulders, thighs, and tail. The undercoat is more developed in the cold months. The coat colors of the Taigan are black, grey, yellow, red, white, or white with spotted markings. This breed is distinguished by their tail which cannot be straightened due to vertebra formation.
